Sacramento CX #1 - College Cyclery Compound
The Sac CX series off to a great start for many members on the team. Chris Leone took top honors in the Mens Open C’s division. Chris had a great start and came through on the first lap in second position. Upon entering the children of the corn section, the race leader pulled over for something, and Chris took over and never looked back. On the last lap Chris went into berserker mode to secure his victory and 20 second margin over 2nd place. Tony Simoni is a newcomer to the sport as well, and stormed up through the pack for a final 4th place finish in the Mens C’s Master 35 Division. Robert Kimezy had an excellent race in the Master 35B division. On the opening lap, he came through in the 2nd spot, and moved into 1st for most of the race. Another racer caught him with about 2 to go and put a fork in him. But, Robert defended for 2nd and finished out the race strongly.
There were a lot of other racers on the team finishing in the top 10 of their respective fields, but we will focus on those really close to or on the Podium.
